| Hi
there. If you have been diagnosed with hepatitis c you are
probably feeling a little scared and confused. This is pretty
normal until we take the time to find out what we are dealing with.
Most of
us can relax a little bit. This is not an automatic death sentence.
Their are medications available that may help with your condition.
Fortunately, in most cases, hep c progresses very slowly, and we
have time to deal with it. In some instances they find it
after it has progressed to a point where a liver transplant is
necessary. Many people undergo liver transplants each year
and many of them go on to lead fruitful and productive lives.
Many people die WITH this disease and not from it. Leading a
healthy lifestyle and eating properly and avoiding stress on your
liver are all things which will help you to feel better and help
your body defend itself against disease.
The
most important thing with this disease is DO NOT DRINK ALCOHOL, EVEN
BEER! And DO NOT MIX TYLENOL WITH ALCOHOL, OR USE EXCESSIVE
AMOUNTS OF TYLENOL.
For some, an occasional beer or glass of wine is acceptable, but it
would be wise to know what condition your liver is in before
drinking adult beverages. |
